This is a tricky one which has been touched on before...I would say an amateur is a girl who makes a few movies/pics now and again either for fun, or a bit of extra cash, to suppliment another income.
However at what point an 'amateur' becomes semi-pro or pro is open to all sorts of arguments.
If a girl who has a full time 'day job' advertises her self as a model, how much modelling work does she do before becoming non 'amateur'....one job a month, two jobs a month???
What if she starts getting three or four jobs a week, evenings and weekends, and is earnings more from modelling than she earns from her 'day job' which she continues to do! Is she still an amateur???
Be interesting to hear what others think on this subject.

Hmmn - I am reminded of medieval theologians debating angels dancing on the head of a pin but here goes...
I think that there can be very few models in the thoroughly corinthian spirit of amateurism - save those captured covertly (not something I endorse) and those who post to voyeur-style sites. The latters may well be actually unpaid models. However, 'amateur' seems to have come to mean semi-pro, as in those models for whom this is not their main income. Which on this site would mean about 95% of them, I suspect, and so this probably doesn'thelp much...ah well...

Who cares? You are obviously a discerning guy who knows a good program (or two) when he sees it. Just watch the excellent action and don?t get bogged down with semantics. If we do want to discuss ?amateur? then most of the girls around in the business in the UK, apart from the few obvious exceptions are amateurs. But then?If they were they should be doing it for free? As I said, who care?

Here, here Mr Steele sir. He knows the score. professionalism is a state of mind, being proud of ones work, turning up on time, doing make up, dressing up nice, stiffy when required, cumming on cue, good all round lighting and all that stuff. You know professionalism when you see it. When you don't- it's all amateur or semi pro depending on production values.

I tend to think that an "amateur" is someone who makes videos at home & then decides to sell them to an outfit like Homegrown Video (sorry, I don't know if there is a U.K. equivalent).They can become semi-pro's pretty quickly when they agree to be shot by someone like Mike Hott or Mike South or Bill Witrock.(These are some of the best models in many cases, & some never go on to do anything more.) When they move to SoCal & do vids full-time, they are obviously professionals.

Then of course there's those who work as 'escorts' who allow themselves to be filmed. Are they 'professionals' or not ! One would have to say that it was perhaps (depends on your point of view and interpretation of the law)borderline on prostitution - i've probably opened the floodgates on that one ! but if I was to suggest anyone here was working with prostitutes I'd probably be thrown off the site. And NO I'm not trying to suggest that for a moment , so dont put words in my mouth !
