Help - Adult Web Design Company Needed

Hi everyone,

A very stressed Lolly here, can anyone help??

As many of you are aware my website is months behind schedule but was due to be completed in the next week or so as the site is 90% there. My origional brief was supplied to a local web design company in November of last year with complete guidance in regards of design, copy, images etc . But after far too many months now the site is still not complete and they have now decided that they don't want to proceed with it as they are running at a loss as they originally allowed an incorrect amount of development time to complete it as they never fully researched it before providing me with the initial quote.

I am therefore in a nightmare of a situation as i have a site which is 90% there in regards of design and coding and therefore looking for a company which can take this on to completion who currently have an avalaible development slot as looking for a quick lead time.

I have the pages and structured coding on disk and on a FTP site and the site currently has been done primarily in PHP and MYSQL. The site is quite a large site and consists of the main site and an admin site but the majority of it is done.

I would ideally like to use a local company to me in Nottingham but dont want to come across the same situation with a company who have no experience in Adult websites. It would be greatfully appreciated if anyone can give me any advice on companies they can recommend to ensure a quick and sucessfull completion of my website.

I must add I really hope you do not pay in advance for these "delayed" sites and i also hope you insist on never paying full amount if the site takes longer than the designers first tell you....providing its their fault.

Maybe its just me but I will never charge upfront, never be unrealistic and work 24 hours a day to meet deadlines if needs be. There are too many webdesigners out there that really do think they are better than anyone else.

Just think if you turned up late for a photoshoot.... by several days! Chances are you would struggle to find another. yet webdesigners of this sort are still used.

Maybe this forum could do with a "name/shame" section for good and bad reports on businesses?
