Oh dear and what a strange reply to a serious question though the question still stands un answered un less of course the answer to the question was (I know how many R18dvdshop have sold cuz iv asked Jay and he told me so im sure Gee has asked the same thing) in which case I shall leave my point there and suggest that this method of gathering sales figures is a little amateurish and missleading.

So you are saying that for me to get a question answered I have to be a PRO? A claim was made in BIG BOLD LETTERS that a particular film had out sold all other films on the market. I already know that there is no way of tracking what film sells faster or better than others as there is no co-operation between the production companies or sales out lets to a particular body. So my original question started with the thought that perhaps a body was inplace that colates such figures but now after no usefull or possotive replies I understand it was an attempt on spin.
There is nothing wrong with spin in fact I brought dogging diaries on such a vibe but at least do it with some thought and not at the expense at other producers?

That would be my first thought. It could be that Hot Rod has shifted more titles of this than anything else they did in a short time.

Its the re-orders that matter just as much.

Well that could be Tel but as you know the shops/distributors do not cross network or cross refference their figures so it would be nigh on impossible to calculate what title sells faster or larger than any other. To my account there are about 15 majorish players in the UK and countless smaller. Of the 15 NONE opperate a sales coalition and the smaller have no idea what a sales coalition is. It would be good for producers to have such a coalition as they could tell which genere sells. It would be bad for the distributors because the producers could then see who distributes most effectivley and opperate their buisness accordingly.
So todate no coalition exists so no one comapny/producer can make the claim:

Well unless you ring the 4 biggest disributers and ask them, like ETO do. biggest selling title year before last was LDM and it was easy for me to find out, I just asked,

So then it was the best selling title distibuted by 4 distributers and NOT THEE best selling film. Plus import gives domestic a proper kick and I bet your 4 don't include them?
