Do the girls on the performing side not usually go for the director/producer instead of the cameraman, because when they establish a relationship to 'last' (or at least until the divorce and settlement) they need someone with a bit cash to look after them in the way they may have grown accustomed .... and cameramen aren't known for wealth.

When I met Sir James Slip he wouldnt tell me what he did, just that he was an arms dealer...so anything better than that was a bonus. At the time he had just got his contract with TVX and i didnt even know who they were. I have met many people in this business and I have to say the most insecure ones are the male models...yup, I know you're gonna disagree, but its true.
I have to say that most girls will accept a bloke in the porn business if we know we're number one and I mean number one.
I'm in the same boat. Why would Jim cheat? He can have sex with as many girls as he wants but he always come home to me...I guess that I've got something he wants and that's what you're all saying you want. A relationship where you're partner understands that work is just work and that you can get together at the end of the day, eat and leave all the shit at the door, no matter how many girls/boys you've shagged photographed. Sure once in a while you're gonna get what is known by Jim and Freddie Morse as 'the twitch' (when that person is really turning you on). But at the end of the day it can't be worse than having a partner who constantly keeps coming home from the office late and doesn't tell you that they slightly fancy someone there. At least in porn you know what you see is what you get.
Maybe I should be an agony aunt and set up a yahoo group for lost porno souls seeking like minded people!

I am single at the mo.
Don't wish to be as i have got alot to give the right girl...
But when i meet a girl and i do tell them what i do, It's like they are all over you for about a couple of hours, but when it sinks in on what i do, they 99% of the time back away...
I just have to live with it until some girl out there is kool with what i do...

Dude, you're looking at this all wrong! I've been in the business more than 18 years and yeah, in the early days I tried the g/f thing, but realised that it was more agro than it was worth. I now love living on my own and would not change it for anything. I don't mind 'visitors' so long as they don't change into 'residents'!
Now don't get me wrong, some people find their 'soul mate' and everything is great, but look at it this way: a) being single you can do what you want when you want. b) fuck who you want when you want. c) don't have to explain yourself to anyone. d) leave the toilet seat up without getting moaned at. e) never have to watch a soap when the football is on. And f) never have to worry about being 'taken-to-the-cleaners' when THEY get bored with you!
So remember porn stars are like library books, always look after them when their in your possession, but don't forget to take them back so somebody else can enjoy them as well!

I totally agree with John's points and I'm sure the VAST majority of blokes would like to live their lives as he describes if they are honest. I've lost count of how many times a married mate has told me, "Mate don't EVER get married." The potential financially disasterous implications of a failed marriage are pretty terrifying too. I've seen my brother go from being wealthy to Mr Average after his divorce.
Anyway why would you want to be "In a relationship" with a model anyway? They're nearly all completely insane! I'll use my car analogy again...a really hot porn star is like a Ferrari F40...fucking sensational to look at, absolutely shit your pants exciting to "Have a go in" (Nudge, nudge) and your mates will be envious as hell but are your pockets deep enough for the maintenance?
