DVD's What path to take

Imagine you have your film, all shot and edited and sitting on a DVD ready to roll, whats the way to go. Show your work to another company, hope they like it and publish the DVD and deal with all the other odds and ends (Certs etc). Or is the only solution to deal with all that stuff your self at etra costs?

Has any here had dealings with publishers and if so what sort of deals were offered?

if you are the kind of person who could sell sand on a beach the only way to make proper cash is deal with it all yourself but as the driver asking directions was told i wouldnt have started this journey
