Any advice would be much appreciated

Post by BensAmateurs »

Hi Guys and Girls

I was wondering if any of you could give me any advice on my site.

I have emailed over 1000 girls now asking if they would like to be involved with my site (which I am determined to get up and running).

I have had a fair bit of interest from people (including a few people from this site), however nobody has followed through with it and sent me their pics / vids as well as the relevant paperwork that I need (ie model release, copy of passport / driving license).

I was just wondering if anybody has any ideas as to if i am doing something completly wrong or inapropriatly and this is why girls do not want to be part of the site.

I am working closely with the team at Phantasia Leisure with this project (they run sites such as www.carawam.com and www.lapdancingonline.com).

I have a full payment system in place and the site can be up and running within a week of me giving the go ahead to Phantasia Leisure to put my plans into action.

I am sure that once I have a few girls on the site that more would follow, i am just struggling to find the few that I need to get the site up and running.

With regards to paying the models I had intended to take ?1.25 from every set of pictures and every video that they sell on my site. Do you think that this is unreasonable? Pictures and videos would be sold at a price set by the model.

Any advice on if i am doing anything wrong or just little hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.

I really want this site to be the first of many. My main job is as a DJ and as such I have every day time (after 11am when I wake up) to devote to my site and to get it the hits that it deserves.

Many Thanks

Ben

I would say most are not interested because they can't see anything online at present so they may be thinking you are a timewaster just looking for some freebie material.

So my suggestion would be that like any business you need to invest to capitalize on things, so why not book some models, pay them an hourly rate and get some content for the site for you to launch with. If you pay a model her going rate, then you own the content and can sell on your site without any profit share with the model.

Once you have got a few sets online other models will see you are a legit site and then make want to get involved and then provide you with content. But at the mo you are asking them to send free content and they have nothing to see for it.

Also Samsung he is correct in asking for ID just to cover his backside, no-one starting an adult site should consider having anyone on their site unless they have full ID (even if you don't live in the US it is still a good idea to get it).

Just my opinion on this.

Cheers

Paul

This was tried many times in the states and to tbe best of my knowledge none have been succesful.

Working on spec doesn't appeal to most porn performers. And most of your amateurs are going to come from the swinger community. Not to mention that has been my experience that when you mix swingers with business all you get is a pain in the neck. (Note I said, "my experience"... Don't care if someone has had different experience)

But my advice is to try and solicite a bothel manger or similar agent in the Philipeans. You might have to send the agent/manager a couple of cameras and have him send you the footage.

Or better still, just book a flight out and go do the camera work yourself.

In the end the biggest problem is your asking too much from sex workers.

1) Get up and copy their ID and send it to you.
2) Get footage made and send it to you.
3) Wait for a possible cheque. Which may or may not come. (no reflection on you)
4) No one knows who the hell you are? You expect a sex worker to trust you to send them their money?

From a professional's point of view...

I could spend less time on set and walk away with more money.
or
I could run an ad on a punter site and do less work for more money.

Sorry to be this blunt. And not trying to take a shot at you.
But if you want your footage, I recomend you pay for it outright.

Cheers for your comments.

I am not keen on the bit about flying out to the philapnes, however I do understand the fact that I do need to be paying models upfront.

This is something that i will be doing in the future, and all models now on the site will receieve ?50 upfront for their content with the profits shared 50/50 for all sales over the initial ?50.

Does this sound reasonable to everybody?

Cheers

Try this...
Purchase some non-exclusive amateur cell-phone type content and build your site. Then dress it up with commentary as if the models are were actual people saying they made money and had fun.

Sell a few memberships, make some money and then pay the girls outright. You're going to have a hell of a time get any performer to agree to anything done on a commission basis.
