I am currently using a laptop and for some reason the forum messages no longer appear as "read" and the "new" tag no longer appears on new messages.

Any ideas? Or am I a crap-head? (dont answer that last question)

Try checking your browsers setting for cookies, if it's low, it may help to raise it up a bit.
