UK Talent Agencies

Hi,
With reference to UK Talent Agencies, is Walpole Group the biggest? i.e. does it have the monopoly on the UK scene or are there dozens of agencies? Also do most girls work outside of the agencies once they've worked for a company previously? Or is it like the US where World Modelling that has the monopoly and most companies end up re booking through them. Any help, info or advice would be most appreciated from the guys and gals that book talent and from the talent as well.

I can't talk about Walpole as never used them, and our market is glamour, but if we book a model through an agency, we would always rebook them via the agency and not directly.

At the end of the day the agency is in business to make money, and I am sure if they found out you were re-booking the models directly you wouldn't get to use the agency again.

If you check the links page you will see there are lots of agencies throughout the country.If you use one or two agencies then you will begin to form your own network of contacts to book girls,like everything else the more work you do,the more content,and the more references you will have,therefore be able to book girls direct.Although if you maybe wanting certain models you may have to go back to other agents.A lot of it is just common sense and good business just like any other business.

Thanks for all your feedback so far. This was a pretty general enquiry I know, I'm not looking to hire anyone as such, being a publicist I'm the one usually hired! I assist people getting into the papers and getting their profiles raised when needed and keeping them out of the papers when needed! I had been contacted by a well known US porn producer who was interested in having his profile raised over here and was just seeing how the industry worked in relation to how agencies promote their guys and girls. It certainly appears different to straight actors and their agents and possibly different to how it works in the US. Is there anyone that helps promote UK Adults Stars? Or is it done mainly through themselves and sites like these?
