Yahoo Groups

[Ace (Aged over 18)]

Can anybody give advice on a REAL pain? I have tried accessing several groups listed in Yahoo in the Miscellany Section of this site. Every time I TRY to access, I am given a notice that the page has adult content and 'sorry, but I have reached an age restricted area'. Whilst I totally support Yahoo's security incase 'minors' access these 'naughty sites' where does that leave geezers like me? Is there a solution? Any advice would be appreciated.

Ive had the same annoying problem, every link given in this forum ive seen that is associated wih yahoo groups has been aged restricted, sorry I couldent help, Id also like to hear suggestions also, best wishes, Alan.

Click the 'I accept' box then join the group you are accessing. Witht the email settings opt for the daily digest otherwise you could end up with numerous messages coming in.

Yeah I get the same problem Ace. I recently tried to access an MSN group and it involved having to download a huge heap of shite courtesy of William Gates Esq. Apparently you have to have a Netscape pass or some similar crap. Perhaps Yahoo are similar twats using various methods to confuse us mere decent folk.

Im in a film group on the net, been in it for years, I used to logg in and out without any problems, then Yahoo took over after that nothing but loggin errors and other numerous problems, not at all immpressed by Yahoo more like boohoo

You need to register,password etc, then log in, set your computer to accept cookies, then when you reach the age restriction page, click accept, then join the group, say you will read all mail at the site, and voila, your in.
The only problem is the pics are all reduced in size now, and usually take ages to open.

make up any info for a yahoo ID, just make sure age is over 18!

Click on "sign in" in the top right hand corner. log in with your yahoo ID and it should take you straight back to the group.

As long as you have an age on your profile above 18 you should just be able to click I accept and get into the group unless
Cookies is still registering your previous attempts to access the site.

Try a forced refresh...control plus f5...didn't work for me
but you never know

When i had problems signing in
I ended up deleting then reinstalling everything...
had the desired effect

Can you chaps help me?? I can download Mpegs from 'ordinary' sites..Worldsex etc, but for what ever reason cannot download from aforementioned yahoo groups. I get a message saying..''you may not be connected to the Network''. It's very frustating as you can imagine. Please help if you can..ta!
