TV production company ZKK South is making a documentary on body image for Channel 4 Education. The programme is aimed at 16-24 year olds and will go out on Channel 4 on a weekday morning so that schools and students can watch it.
We're looking at how young people's body image is influenced by what they see in pornography and adult entertainment, and are looking for adult film actresses aged under 25 to talk about this.
Do you think pornography sets the standard for what body parts should look like?
Have you ever considered surgery to help you get more work in the industry, such as a breast enlargement or a vagina modification?
How is your own body image and self-esteem influenced by working in the industry?
If you're under 25 and interested in talking about any of the issues raised above, then get in touch, contact details below

Re: Channel 4 Education body image documentary
I hope youre not picking out the "adult industry" as the source of negative body perception as its fair to say that the adult film business seems a far more inclusive place than the general media.
The adult world has models of all sizes, hair colour, skin colour and ages. the general media is discrimitory take hollyoaks for example the prime example based at the demigraphic you are intrested in 90% blonde all young and "good looking" and made up by models. I think this is what you should be targeting.
Sorry if im accusing you of labeling adult films as evil but i'd surprised if you didnt as you represent the very media thats causing this problem.

I read a recent interview with the fashion photographer Nick Knight in which he said:
' ... I have problems when I see how engaged my teenage daughters are by a monoculture where celebrities all look the same; I don't understand where the idea originates that if you're going to be considered attractive you all have to have the same plastic features which seem to be based on the porn industry's aesthetics.'
I would see people like Pamela Anderson and more recently Paris Hilton as typifying this look and interestingly both of them have had porn 'crossovers' with their so-called 'sex tapes'. It's an interesting avenue of investigation and whilst the American industry arguably dictates the look it's influence is apparent in the UK industry too. Arguably porn sets 'a' standard, whether or not it is 'the' standard is debatable.

The so-called "mainstream" publications have far more influence on young people's body perceptions than porn ever will.
It was even felt necessary at a recent major fashion show to bar skinny nodels as being detrimental to young people's health & welfare.
Slinging porn in makes a nice tasty angle for the NOW type crowd but bears little resemblane to the truth.

Why yuore busy making other people responsible then theres no chance of anyone fingering you.
Classic double standards someone does porn = evil
someone is a drug addict and moonfaced stick (ala kate moss) and a "mother" =good and is considered good role model
Twisted world isnt it.

Channel 4 again, use the word porn in a programme anything to boost the ratings.
