Hardcore Satellite Channel - Satisfaction Channel

Hi All

To save further posts on this can I point out that you cannot receive this channel through your Sky digibox (Not now and never will be able too). To receive this channel you will need to purchase a seperate digital satellite reciever encrypted in Viaccess (approx ?250) and also get a 1 year subscription card (approx ?150). I'm sure that Magoo will agree with me and advise you all to avoid this channel as it is pretty piss poor(mainly Italian movies)and there are better alternatives out there such as Spice Platinum and Sex View TV.

True you can not directly receive the channel with your existing SKY digi box ... however I think it is important to point out that it is broadcasting from the same position that your SKY digi box uses ...that is in essence the important bit .... so if you are not particularly happy about having extra dishes on your house, or don't want to fork out for a motorised dish set up (?400 +) this is a good opportunity to get a HC XXX channel. Yes true SCT is mainly Italian and American stuff ... but fgs its HC! (I have been led to believe SCT are planning to provide a more UK orientated service in the future - now they have access to all the SKY dishes) - ?150 for a years subscription is only ?30 more than 1 year for the SC channel TVX!!!!

The receiver you will need (which you can connect in a loop with your existing digi box) must have VIAACCESS 2 capability - there are lots available - some much cheaper than ?250! (e.g Samsung for ?125)

Yes there are other HC channels available, but at the moment they are all being broadcasr from different locations - 13E, 19E and 30W being the main ones.

I think it is unfair to totally dismiss this "breakthrough" - If it works well, I don't think it will be too long before other channels catch on to it. HTH Cheers

other than paying the extra for a box and subscription, are there any other "catches" we should know about.

The SCT service that is beamed from the Eurobird sat at 28.5E is on-air from 10.00pm - 4.00am - which is different to the SCT service from the Hotbird sat at 13E which is 24 hours a day .... a slight "catch" I suppose ... but not major!
