I think I am not alone in having received spam mail from Jennifer Martin.
There is enough spam in the world already without forum users adding to it.
May I therefore make an open plea to Jennifer and her minions, whether from Cornwall or anywhere else, and to others who might be inclined to follow suit, to desist forthwith from harvesting addresses from this site for the purposes of spam.
Thank you.
End of message.

Using the forum to collect addresses for spamming
Re: Using the forum to collect addresses for spamm
Quite agree, it's an abuse of the trust built up amongst members to use the forum this way. Jennifer - you may be "The-New-Sensation", whatever that is supposed to imply, but you endear yourself to nobody with these tactics, so please cut it out.
Re: Very naughty Jennifer
And i have to agree as i recieve one from her too. But is blocked from now on.

If your all so concerned with receiving one email
Hide your email addy...like Officer Dibble does
To me its another storm in a tea cup
Every Monday when I check my second email account i receive no less than 600 emails...all spam...I delete..gone in 5 minutes
There is no unwritten law that says forumites need give permission to receive emails...is there?
Get of this trust and ethics course because as sure as you keep your email addy revealed it will happen again
cheers

Re: Using the forum to collect addresses for spamm
I have never spammed anybody on this forum and resent the accusation that I have.
If you have a problem with it..please do not drag my good name across the coals, unless you have proof that any emails originated from me.
That said take time and check out :-
or
And mellow out....lifes too short.
Cheers Cornish Chris.

Re: Using the forum to collect addresses for spamm
To be fair though Buttsie none of the other porn retailers or models who frequent the site do it. They prefer to just post on the forum about thier sites and products.
I agree with you that its a storm in a teacup as the mails are easily deleted. But I did try to point out to Jennifer (or her webmaster more likely) the other day that some people would get annoyed at the spam and that the practice was doing her no favours. Obviously my comments fell on deaf ears because more spam was sent out shortly afterwards. I hoped to try and avoid a public outcry from the forum by persuading her webmaster that spam emails are counter-productive and only irritate people. But as I said they seem to think its worthwhile to spam and ignored my post.

Quite so. She, or whoever it was, didn't take the hint. And whilst one swallow doesn't make a summer, this needs to be nipped in the bud before it becomes commonplace. We shouldn't have to withhold our email addresses.
As for there being no rules about this, no doubt if the practice continues the moderators may wish to consider adding such a rule.
Coming to the statement by Cornish Chis, I was interested to see this message, which followed soon after my original one, and which I suspect might have been connected: .
If it doesn't refer to CC, then I shall gladly take him at his word, and withdraw any suggestion in my original post that anybody from Cornwall might have had something to do with the spam. On the other hand, if it does refer to CC, then we can all draw our own conclusions.
