When Kaz says everyone, she doesn't mean the extras too, lol! ;)
Yep, it should be great. Very very busy, but great.

I have a fresh plea: I've a lot of middle-aged, balding men (no disrespect - I'm in this popular group myself) contacting me about being extras, which is lovely, but I need a mix of people. Particularly women at this stage. Now, I know a lot of girls enjoy porn as much as the next bloke and while I've found a few female friends to come along, I really could use some more. Come on girls, it's only porn! :D

Hi

Going back to the subject of Liability Insurance, even if the studio where you are filming has liability insurance, you as the leader of the project, whether producer or director may legally be required to have liability insurance also. You are also supposed to fill out a risk assessment form for the set and show everybody who comes onto the set the possible risks and how you have put things into place to stop any injuries etc.

I know this because I make low budget movies and because we live in a country that is run by injury lawyers, we have to go through all this bullshit and pay out money for crappy insurance policies that don't mean shit, when we could be spending it on our movies.

What I am trying to say is that somebody has mentioned liability insurance now to you, so if I was you I would ask to see the written proof that the company has got public liability insurance, and that you are definately covered by it, and you do your full risk assessments because there is bound to be one snotty little twat who comes to the set and doesn't see any pussy and gets you back by saying he fell over and hurt himself!!

Other than that....it sounds like a really good shoot and I'd love to come but you're too far away ;-)

Cheers

James

Thanks James. I believe they need to display their PLI document by law, but if I don't see it, I will ask for it.

The model releasee I have for the extras includes a '...I assume all reasonable risks associated with my participation in this production, which I accept of my own free will...' type clause which, unless I'm grossly incompetent, will protect me from the sort of incident you outline. I've taken some advice on risk management and believe I've applied all the usual measures the industry uses to protect myself, my cast and crew.

Insurance is a very important topic, but perhaps it deserves its own thread? This one was intended to be about my shoot on the 29th ;)

Cheers!

Popside is right. This issue extends beyond insurance, and embraces risk management and statutory H&S requirements.

I agree this is an important subject that warrants a separate thread. But I've tried it before and nobody takes any interest in the subject.

Anyway, it's good to see that you are taking the matter more seriously than most. Kaz and JJ are brilliant and professional performers and I'm sure you'll have a great day.

In fact if I didn't live so far away I'd accept the risks involved, and join the passenger list for Flight 69 !!!
