Where to Sell Old Professional Video Gear?

Post by peter@video-xtra.com »

I need to sell several professional cameras, VCRs, monitors, etc. Where is the best place to sell? Ebay seems useless with Umatics not selling for ?10 and it's not aimed at professionals anyway. It's all in very good condition and most items are hardly used.

I have:
Sony VO-5850 Umatic Edit Deck
Sony VO-5630 Umatic Recorder with NTSC playback (HobNob kit fitted so can be used as Edit Player with 5850)
Panasonic AG-7330 Super VHS Recorder with Multi System playback - very versatile
Panasonic AG-5700 Compact Super VHS Edit Recorder (2) with A570 Edit Controller
Panasonic AG-1070 Compact 12 V Time Lapse / CCTV / Full Speed Recorder

JVC BY-110 3 tube (remember those?) Video Camera with Wide angle attachment and other bits.
Panasonic AG450 Super VHS Camcorder
Canon EX-2 Hi8 Camcorder

Sony PVM-6030 ME 6" Monitor
Sony KV-6000 BE 6" Monitor/TV with MainsPower Pack

Hedler Variolux 2500 Studio Lights (3)
Various items such as Wide and Tele Lens Adaptors, unused Umatic, Beta, SVHS tapes, etc

Even if these items are of no interest, suggestions of where to best sell them would be appreciated - Email me please.

Thanks

Peter

no offence but you will struggle. I know people who have had a hard time binning really high spec old gear. Umatic is prob too old and too poor quality to worry about. Hopefully it has made it's money and you can just ditch it.
