Studio Sets - Which Ones Are Needed?

Hi Everyone, just a quick thread to see if we can get some info from all of you out there. We are currently in the process of sorting out our shop basement and turning it into a studio area.

Could you please let me know the top three most used/most wanted studio sets, ie. school room, office, bedroom, that sort of thing. We are wanting to do two or three sets and if wanted a wet room and a dungeon area, complete with cages etc!!

This would be based in Hertford, Hertfordshire, would anyone be interested, would be ready in about six to eight weeks time?

Hope you can take the time to put down your top 3 or 4 for me to have a look at.

office and easily be used as a school room, with a few props. A bedroom, kitchen, dungeon, Shower/bath room and what else be useful would be an actual studio room with a colorama or whatever background system and some lights, thats always useful

I agree with Cenobitez that a studio room with a number of Colorama backgrounds is a must. I would say the best choice would be White and Black backdrops for sure, and then whatever other colour(s) you wish.

A bedroom set would always be used so another must, but some of the other sets would probably only be used occasionally and would take up space. Would it not be better to keep an open area, purchase or obtain a number of props which could be stored and built up into a set when required. Also makes everything more flexible.

The only other fixed set i would recommend would be a dungeon depending
on what shoots you wish to use the studio for.

Do you have a lighting system are are you going to purchase?

Thanks guys for the help so far, seems a little bit more technical than I first thought and should really speak to a professional photographer who can point me in the right direction as to where to purchase these backdrops and so on. The main room I have can be split into two/three areas, the other room is already an old jail room with bricked up secret passage ways to the old courthouse so is ideal for a dungeon set, really spooky!!

If someone can point me into the direction of where I should be looking to get these backdrops that would be a start. Thanks for help so far.
