models that work with amateurs?

Jeff,
Have you looked for models on other modelling sites?. Eg, Be-Seen-Here, AIR , and Lauralee models ect. The models levels are listed on the sites . Always worth a try they can only say no.
Also a lot of models who post on this site say they are happy to work with amateurs and you always seem to get a reply to your emails
Depending on what levels you wish to work to i can highily recommend HoneyB who i shot at The Apartment Studio in the spring
Unfortunately i have not had the pleasure of a shoot with Cate who has also sent a reply to your post. Maybe something to look forward to.

thanks to those models who have replied
i asked 'up to what level', so that i knew straightaway if a model was suitable or not, without each party wasting each others time

i have looked at other sites and have booked girls through adultwork.com (the last being the lovely kimberly cox)

There's nothing wrong with asking about levels, but you need to know that the vast majority of such requests are from non serious people ESP when they come from sites where the models levels are listed (which is most these days).

I've helped a few models in my time and I've seen the emails they get.

Basically as a serious photographer you need to show that you are serious if you want the girls to take you seriously, and the more information you provide about who you are, what you want to shoot, show you've actually read their profile etc, the more chance you have of getting a result.

In my experience most models will work with amateurs who present themselves well, and will ignore the ones that don't.

It's up to you.
