Hi , i was thinking about setting up a new POV site featuring
the best of british talent. I am completely new to this and just wondering
is there any advice anyone could give me. Also are there any models willing
to work with a 'newbie' like me.

I very much doubt 'the best of British talent' would work with a complete newbie on a POV shoot. There may well be a few who would, but not enough to build a whole site from, so you could end up spending thousands and thousands shooting material that no-one ever pays for. I'm assuming you've got a decent budget for this?

As above, is your priority making porn or banging hot women? If it's the former, I'd recommend putting a little more thought into how you're going to make it work, if its the latter then hire an escort.

What they are trying to say is you have advertised on here with no name, no e-mail or web address so the odds of getting anyone to trust you would be very hard. Always display your profile with as much contact info as you can provide at the time.
Even the Amateur circuit we work in would not work for somebody with no identity, try Adultwork or Glamour Finder & provide your details including a phone number & work from there to get known. Best of british Talent is not always the most expensive but this will be something you will understand over the years, hope things go well for you.

Kim is right, I was like you one time, but have been around from since 2003 and believe me it takes a while to get the girls to work for you to start off, and I dont think you can expect anything else.

Time flies, and now its 2007 I am a professional and although I have alot of unknowns exclusive to my up and coming site, there is not many girls that wont work with me, but I have been around since 2003. I have bought two domain names and have invested alot of oney to make sure my site is a success. It's all new to me making a members site but I am getting there.

Make sure you have full certs, and like Kim said, word your posts abit better as I wouldnt shoot anything other than Gonzo/POV style, but thats my professional choice and because of that I can get models who dont shoot POV style, IE they say that as they think it attracts too many amatuers with a video camera. But if a proffesional contacts them they mostly who shoot this style they usually accept.

I pay good rates and am only 26 so I have along way to go in this industy. And I hope to meet many more wonderful people that is in this industry.

You have along way to go,but I'm sure if you are in it for the long run I dont see why you cant make a good go of things.

Paul gives good advice...

My advice... if you have money to burn then go for it One off costs for 2 X 3CCD camera's (?600 min), Tripod, basic lighting set.

Then a standard shoot at b/g say will cost you ?300, + hotel + one off costs.... Total ?400 Min but better to say ?500.

?500 x 20 for min amount for website (so 20 models) = ?10,000 min.

That's just to get you going with no return! Depends if you have that to spend?

you cant go wrong with advice from androm too, he knows his stuff, and yes I remember those days, finding enough moeny to get enough videos to start off, I think I'm in a good place now where I can launch my site with 10 videos and update every month I reckon, when vetrol get back to me with my questions, they do seem to be taking ages. Of course I have more than 10 vidoes, but at least I can update good from that number.

...and making money from a website doesn't just magically happen. If you are seriously doing it as a business, as opposed to an excuse for a shag, you will need to learn a lot about online marketing.

The advice that the CCBill billing company people give is to spend a few years as an affiliate to existing websites in order to learn about getting traffic, server maintenance, conversion ratios etc. If you don't make any money that way, you'll certainly lose a lot of money trying to run your own site and paying out for models and the rest of it.

You could pay someone else to look after the site, of course, but then you'd lose at least half your revenue - and you'd be hard pushed to find anyone competent who was willing to work full time for a new, unknown site.
