Hi All

What method have you found to be the best way to advertise your site?

Using shared banners for example, what about other sites where you can promote your site.

I'm uploading a whole net b/g/g first timer set on Friday, and I want new people to see as well as the regulars?

Hi Ric - You can only speak as you find,I used to do Banner exchange with certain sites for the very reasons you mention,higher profile more traffic etc.I still get requests now to do it but my Webmaster advised me this can have the opposite effect with traffic being diverted from your site to theirs.it can be a difficult call to make,be interested to hear other peoples experiences,but they dont seem forthcoming.Hope you are well.

The problem is Rico most webmasters started off in the same boat as you and had to learn the hard way (trial and error) I doubt you will find anyone that will give away many of there secrets to get traffic.

A couple of years ago I was talking to a guy who owns some sites. He is based in America.

I do not know if he was speaking the truth or just bullshitting, but he said he had over 1000 affiliates and was linked with over 1 million sites.

I personally found it hard to believe, but who knows.
