DVD sales, advise Please!

Hi Everybody

I need advise and help ASAP

I have been contacted by a Italian company called Andromeda SRL

They are interested in buying a large number of each of my DVD's titles

They have asked me for a price per DVD and I don't have a clue!

Can anybody please give me a idea of what the going rates are for selling DVD's to a third party for resale abroad

Please can anybody help me?

HI James, hope you're keeping well.

Generally if you're retailing at, say, ?10 a DVD, then your wholesale should be in the region of ?5-6. If they're buying an extraordinary quantity, then drop it down a little more.

If you're stuck on replicating large numbers including sleeve printing etc, give me a shout...we have a company we use that we get good rates from.

It will be hard to get ?4-5 per disc in europe as you have to squeeze most of the companies to get 3-4 euro's per disc, work out the costs of authouring/designing/printing/duplicating/transporting before agreeing a price. ABS holdings or Scala would be the best companies to approach as these pay the best. If you come across any companies buying amatuer footage at a worthwhile rate please let us know, hope it all goes wel for you.
