Where to get a test in London

Im gonna be in London on friday and need to get a std hiv test but I cant go back to collect the results. where is the cheapest place i can do this and how long will it take to get the results back? they of course need to be able to post the results to me

Hi chris,

firstly im not sure where the cheapest place is in london to get test done - as i now live in denmark

but I have used charing cross hopspital once or twice - tests used to be around ?35 per test and results ready in 1 week

however if you are desperatly needing a cert quickly - and happy to go privatly - you have MEDI CENTRES in the london train stations.

the standard test costs around ?150 and they do increase
(depending on what other checks you want i.e genital warts / and all the hep checks etc...

i used their clinic back in july 07 and my last one cost ?214 however the results were ready in 24hrs by phone and they posted the test to me in DK within 48hrs.

not sure what the prices are now but hope that helps . x

Hi I goto - they charge 195 for first appointment and 95 thereafter. Expensive but done and dealt within 1/2 hour and you get the HIV result immediately as they check then and there.

HIV is 20 mins.... I was just given them a little more time.

However ,the rest of the results hep, syph, chlam and agona take a week + postage time.
