software to blur number plates or moving objects

Hi Guys

What editing software could i use to blur out e.g. a car number plate, a face in a crowd etc. I would need to move the blured area around the screen as i was editing.

The one I saw being used you had to run the vt in real time and drag is around your screen as the object moved, another one had a frame you dragged.

In premier pro you create a mask. Where you want it.

Matte not mask even, mask is photoshop

If you google Track Matte, that will help.

You could always just paint over it rather than blurring it.

Microsoft paint would do that

Not easy Martin if the image that needs blurring is moving.

Hi Kim basically you need to use a video filter (assuming you are using Premiere Pro) and use the "region" filter then in the options choose which method ie blur, solid colour etc, there are various other options to consider.

Get John to give me a call and I'll talk him through it as you can track matte on moving objects as well
