Attention all porn producers :

Post by Pussylikher »

I am making some b/g and g/g films with amateurs. All performers will be paid by myself for the time in making these films, as such I presume I own the copyright. Do i need their permission if I want to put these online in the future on my website.

thanks for your advice

Yes you must get them to sign a model release form that basially gives you the right to show the material.

Tony,
Assumimg you are UK based.
Under UK law the copyright belongs to the producer (i.e. you) and you are free to pretty much do with your productions as you please (providing, of course, they comply with UK law in regard to their content).
However, it is in your interest to have anyone and everyone who appears in your productions (films, videos, photos, etc) to sign a "model release".
Also, if your productions have even the slightest sexual content then anyone who appears in them MUST be at least 18 years of age and should provide you with at least 2 forms of identity/proof of age (passport, photo driving licence or similar) and you would take copies of these.
The copies of identity/proof of age + model release you keep and file away should they be needed in the future.

Myson

Please note:
The above is my understanding of current UK law and must not be taken as definitive, or any form of, legal advice. Seek advice from a solicitor conversant with legislation regarding "adult entertainment".

If you wish to SELL the material you'll find that most buyers/brokers don't just want photocopies/photos of ID, they want a photo of the ID being held up next to the face of the performer.

Some people have even stricter requirements (I've had to hold a newspaper while being photographed, and I've had to read a release statement to camera). If you have a particular buyer in mind, checik their requirements in advance.

Cheers

I still love performing and shooting, and always happy to help people make porn. Esp if tittivation.com will be an outlet :-)
