Legal Advice

Post by RogerD »

Hya,

Can any one point me to a good resource, where i can check if some of my ideas are no going to be breaking the law.

I want to know what is the law on sites like www.acemassage.net or http://www.adultwork.com/.

I want be 100% that content I may have on the site is not breaking the UK law, really.

In a way what is the hardest hardcore, we can have published in UK.

Tks in Advance

I guess there must be an "obscene publications act" online somewhere. This tells you most things but like most of the law its open to "interpretation"

I would make sure you host outside the UK also.

Good Luck with whatever you do.

I'm fairly sure if they took porn off the internet, there'd only be one website left, and it'd be called Bring back the porn!

I could be wrong and shoot me down if I am, but I think the anti-porn monkeys at the Home Office might have got that covered. Even if hosted abroad, if you upload material from the UK then that is considered to be publishing in the UK. Maybe best to get the EuroStar over with it in your bag.

Your right, it does go off where the 'owner', 'producer' and uploader are based. Thats why Shannon who used to own but now owns left the US and fucked off to Mexico because he avoided potentially multi-MILLION years in jail over 100,000s of 2257 and Obscene violations, due to the nature of the site (blood/sex/mods/branding etc). Someone once suggested the site was involved in the premise for Hostels torture scenes.

Have a read of you don't get thru more than a few pages before you get it. :)

Shannon is a cool guy and well worth messaging if your going into his realm, he'll be happy to help you with advice :)

There are also cases I believe where by the location the material was shot is also an issue, as I heard several LA companies have pondered taking weekend trips south of the border to Mexico, until they found a way around the foreign/uk girls working their issue.

is your friend :)

It is said that both love and truth walk hand in hand. But if the need is great enough, can we learn to love a lie?
