No-show on custom video

I thought I'd make people aware of an unpleasant situation I've experienced, involving a lady who posts on here quite often; I ordered a custom video from the lady in question back in December 2007 and paid up front for the project (a solo video) by cheque. The cheque was cashed on receipt of it by the lady.

Since then I have received nothing. The lady first put off the project due to Christmas, New Year etc. which didn't bother me, but unfortunately, nothing transpired after that either.

The last contact I had (the last time she replied to my emails asking about the whereabouts of said video)was a reply saying that she *had* posted out the video some time previously, but had sent it unrecorded and it must have got lost/been stolen in transit. The lady never informed me that the video was finished or that it had been sent out in the post until this point.

The above is bad enough but for some reason the lady decided to string me along a little more by promising that she would run off another copy of the video from her computer hard drive, but that was about 4 months ago and for the 2 or 3 futile emails I've sent her since she hasn't replied at all.

As she is actively posting on here I just thought she was/is completely out of order. I haven't posted her name in this post as I thought it might give her a chance to catch up on the situation, just in case she doesn't receive her emails or whatever and I'm sure she'll recognise who I am from this.

I don't really know what other options are available to me (other than writing off the project as a lost cause and harsh lesson learned) as the lady simply refuses to acknowledge the situation any more.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar situation and if so, did they ever get an amicable/agreeable response to it?

One last point - I have ordered a few custom videos in the past from other ladies and their performance/professionalism was excellent. This is the first time I've ever had to consider not paying up front in full for any future orders I might make.

Happened to me very recently, a very well known model, that uses this site regularly, took me for an upfront payment for a no show custom vid.
Allsorts of excuses, holidays, work schedule, illness etc.
Just wrote it off to experience, a lesson learned, never to be repeated.

I am also a fan of custom films , and during say ten years have had may trustworthy models make films for me , but also a few who never produced teh goods.
Its was difficult to know way back then who to trust , and it was always a chance I took , and can still be today fom what experience you have had.
The problem is that the want the money up front , so you have to have complete faith in them doing the film , and sometimes this is broken. Its a shame , When the trust goes it will spoil it for all the trustworty models out there who do custom videos and are uterlly reliable, and I know a few.

At present I have been lucky using good trustworthy models for my custom videos , and do not wish to get taken for a ride like I had done many years ago.
If you are after custom films I think this forum is a good place to start , and trust other members who suggest models that they regard are trust worthy.

I would also be keen to know who the model as so I do not end up wasting money and time on a new model that I may wish to try, not only that my custom films always have some items of clothing I send the model , so not only is it the money for the film , but the cost of clothing as well.

I've been up since the crack of dawn .. now there's a naughty euphenism .. anyway I have been up early burning dvds and cds for folk who have ordered them whilst I was recently in Dubai and they will all be sent out this week
