Just received this news via e-mail from the AVN, the US government has closed down his website as well as handing out fines of $7,500 to Max Hardcore & $75,000 to his company along with confiscating all his content.

This is a warning to the adult industry to keep themselves in order with the US authorities as the consequences can be very severe.

Agree that his stuff was very nasty, and promoted disgusting attitudes towards women; but the key distinction is that rape is non-consensual, and AFAIK every model he filmed knew what she was putting herself up for.

He won't be missed by many, especially those of us who are trying to create a more positive view of the porn industry.

Considering what he could have got time and fine-wise, I dont think he did too badly. As for the charges for which he was convicted, as I read it they related to using the US mail and the internet for distributing the stuff rather than the actual material itself, as outre as it was.
