Just a bit of advice if you want to make sure the person booking you is genuine ask for an email from their website address and references from models or ask here also i tend to avoid shoots with amateur photographers unless i know who they are then you shouldnt have any problems with this x

These things happen. There may be a genuine reason the photographer didn't show. It is shit and I feel for you, but find out for sure first. Hell, he may have had a car crash or anything !

Sorry to hear your going through the same crap a lot of new models go through.

It's all part of the learning curve in this industry sadly, models and photographers go through the same.

Live & Learn is all I can advise - get references, confirm on the night before and on the day, check out there work - if they have no examples then that's usually a sign, try not to be put off by the time wasters, eventually you will develop an instict to weed these out.

I'm sure you've made some decent friends in the industry, ask them for a second opinion if your unsure, they will spot a scam or timewaster easier than you can, there are some useful friends - use them.

Also, try looking for work yourself rather than wait for people to contact you, as it is your probably easy prey for time wasters.

Some of the web masters are time wasters to. They say looking for a cameraman for there site. I even told the one web master that i was willing to fund the right project to. He said i'll call you, and never did. We must sent 5 or 6 emails. Then nothing.

Ok, fair point, i didn't get the job but after 6 emails when everything was looking good. All i can say is its there loss not mine. So guess what i'm going to give myself a job!!!!!!!.
