Hi, I used to post here a long time ago under JohnYourChoice, I have just finished a promo trailer for BlackkissFilms,



We shot in HD using a 35mm adapter, Arri lenses and a green screen. The VFX have all been reproduced in lightwave and composted in AE.

In the next few months we are looking for Models for the Series, If you are interested please email john@blackkissfilms.com

Any suggest for sci fi scenes or particular models doing certain things is always appreciated.

This is very interesting, just a few questions.

Are the spaceships and music just, like, stolen from Battlestar Galactica? Because Commander Adama might be...annoyed?

Would you be aiming to spell the word "were" correctly in the finished version?

Who's the squirty female perfomer?

Other than that, I know a couple of great models who'd love to be in sci-fi scenes, I'll mail you direct

Just to reiterate what others have already said...parody is one thing, like-for-like copying is another. I'd suggest you drop the use of the word 'Cylon' as it is more than likely copyrighted and could land you in some legal hot water. Come up with a variant, parody or 'spin' on it...even something as unimaginative as 'Sylon' should see you right in legal terms.

Also, as previously mentioned...GRAMMAR AND SPELLING!!!

First caption has 'Where' instead of 'Were'

Second caption has 'There' instead of 'Their'

That's about as far as I got, or can remember off the top of my head, so there (not 'their'!) may be other errata you need to address and correct.

Other than that, whilst squirting is definitely not my thing, it looked pretty well shot, all told.

Nothing is stolen?? as I said remade in a VFX program called lightwave which they used on the original series, The explosions using pyro plugin. Music remade.

The point of making the clip was to see if we could reproduce high end VFX style films/series for scratch. within a limited budget.

The girl is Charisma Gold a dutch star.

I will render wire frames in the next week or two, we remade the shots from the series. It seems the guys doing it did it to well.
