Recession

Hi All,

Uk enters into recession.!thumbsdown! Is anyone feeling it? What does that mean for togs, producers, webmasters and models? How long before we cum out of it?

Some say it could be at least 5 years!!!!!

You are the first person ever to utter this word on this forum!Congratulations! Yes I believe we could actually go into a depression, with a run on the pound, and near bankruptcy, a little like Iceland.

It would not be good for any of us, yes even for porn producers!

As peoples budgets get tighter they won't be subscring as much to sites, buying DVD's etc.....sadly alot will look to the free porn sites which is no good for the industry.

The only positive is with another 1 million unemployed you will have alot more people at home on the PC all day.

Will it drive down the rates that the porn stars are paid??

People need their vices more than ever when times are hard. Sure people will look for it for free but a lot of people are still willing to pay for it for less than the hassle they will get downloading from torrent sites...especially if what they are looking for they cantfind on there.

I fully expect there will be more girls putting ads. on sites like Purstorm looking for modelling work.

My view is that the adult entertainment industry will be robust during the next couple of years. As said before, people will always have their vices.

Other sectors of the economy will be very badly hit.

Has something just happened overnight Im not aware of? We've been in recession or credit crunch for a good long while already.

Or is it a ploy to get rates down because we've all had to pay our taxes this month perhaps? I can understand that

Ive been around through several recessions so its business as usual. If you havent got the money...Dont shoot. Thats how Ive always worked.

Ive never asked for a concession and never will. I never book a shoot unless I am able to pay for it and never cancelled a shoot because of it.

There is no shortage of porn whatsoever so I doubt those looking for it will miss anyone for a month or two.

I'm afraid that there is a possibility of much more than a recession. Last night on "This Week" the commentators got so gloomy, that they were censored by Andrew Neil. There was talk of a British banking shortfall of ?500,000,000,000, which only the Federal Reserve in the USA could help with. Even the IMF can't cover it. This could mean bankruptcy for the country with millions out of work.

So although, even if people want their vices, they can't have them if they are simply, "Broke".

I predict an interesting next 12 months!
