Model Release

Post by BigPhil »

I've got the chance to shoot a couple of local girls who want to take up glamour modelling and are willing to pose for a website I am creating. But having never done a shoot before I'm a little unsure about model releases, i.d., etc.

Anyone point me in the right direction? Anywhere I can get a model release "template" or other helpful info?

you can get standard release form templates from most photographers and just edit them accordingly...

make sure you take 2 forms of photo ID...passort/driving license ....

If you want some model release templats drop me a mail... I have a few types from simple ones to really biblical proportian ones that are brothers in the usa seem to love using :L)

Yeah definetly get two forms of ID... one must be passport or driving license, preferably both :)

If your website is going to be billed for in the USA I would strongly suggest a model release and a 2257 (for us law) just my 2 cents

You're right about USC 2257.Even if your stuff is shown, without your permission in USA,you'll be covered by it.However,it only involves keeping proper records, which cannot be a bad thing.

I rememember asking one lady with beauty, but no brains,to list her previous working names,on a form. She only had one answer-Ms Dunno!!

Following her progress later, she seemed to have been taken advantage of,by all and sundry.Very sad really,as she did not have a bad bone in her body.
