Just a quickie (well for me I do waffle on a bit, although right now I have to put some waffles in oven so am hoping this will keep me quick). I have a tentaive idea for a web site but it will be very much on the cusp of whats allowed, is there anywhere you can please recommend, where I can read up on what is and isn't allowed.

That's a very broad one - and impossible to answer without some details from you. the bottom-line in the UK is (and always has been) 'offensiveness.'

This has always caused more problems than it solved because something can be perfectly acceptable today because the person 'passing' it is not offended by that particular form of fetish... but tomorrow another censor, judge, police office, newspaper, local community spokesperson etc. can roll up and get on the news saying how offensive it is and suddenly you're on thin ice.
Sailing close to the wind, therefore, may seem like a good business idea in principle but you might find all your hard work comes to nothing if just one influential person decides to win votes, support or anything else for that matter by bringing your perfectly legal activities to the attention of some authority. You wouldn't have a leg to stand on because it is in the interest of no-one to support you... and as long as just one person deems id offensive and indecent then you might end up fucked...

Cockney your a life saver im just about to tuck in (had me waffes so why not porn legislation for dersert) Daz You made some good points which I will definatly take on bored but im not flying close tot he wind because i think it will sel better but because thats where my head is, i've always had these films in my head ready for the making but it was only today when i came up witha window of how it may be done just clean enough for uk law, thats why I need to check .x

The nice thing about this idea is it will need every type of model possible, however dont get to excited this is very early days, we are talking slime on a rock waiting to become soup before it begins its journey to being a penguine or something equally lovely. I think I may have answered enough of my questions to start asking more, if that makes sence but I will need to find me a money backer and in these troubled times I doubt there will be a Q, just wanted to read up on some options while my thoughts were fresh x

The easiest answer is to put your stuff in front of the BBFC. If they pass it, then you can't be prosecuted [there is a specific exemption in the new Act].

Even if you are just going online, you can always pass the material to the BBFC who will give or refuse an R18 cert, or insist on cuts.
