Server failed when doing nslookup. Traceroute also gives not found.

My point is why do the cheaper hosts not have decent routing to large ISPs?
Not good for business.
Every other host which i visit seems to work ok.

Its nothing to do with routing.

If the server failed to do an nslookup then that means that O2 DNS servers havent gotten the information on the site and for whatever reason havent queried the root servers. A tracert will also fail as it doesnt no what IP address to trace to.....because O2's DNS has failed to give an answer.

You can either continue to put up with the absymal O2 DNS servers, or simply change them in your TCP/IP settings in windows, to any other DNS server that will answer.
