BGAFD Party??

Just to further corroborate my earlier post about girls not showing up after the Strictly Broadband (and this is no reflection on them by the way)

Elizabeth Michelle Lawrence had a Wicked Tease Party that had 5 A4 pages of industry guests down. You know how many girls turned up?

3! Including the lady herself (Ive excluded 2 producers, one of which was me because Im convinced blokes are not interested in meeting the likes of us)...3 girls among over 100 blokes. She was not best pleased I can assure you.

The UKAP parties work, not just because of the absence of Joe Public but because producers represent work to the girls and it makes good business sense to attend. Thing is they just wont attend if the public is involved.

There is evidence within this forum that UKAP did try to organise a party on the same scale as BGAFD and Strictly Broadband with the public in mind to which was rebutted by the females for the reasons mentioned earlier.

Why would UKAP alienate its audience by just keeping all the fun to ourselves when we could be making money out of these events? Instead its non profit making with just enough to cover the venue and other bits and pieces and a necessary tool for its members to network with new talent which is why it is done.

I can see your point Terry but the notion of "Producers" is in part self defeating as all that happens is the same girls see the same people they've shot with before (with some exceptions obviously) - does this increase business?

Ive spent several thousands over the past few years doing shoots but all I have to show is a page on Purestorm so therefore Im not a "Producer" but for some girls Ive been a valuable source of income away from the industry itself.

Will be there tomorrow to hopefully meet new girls for shoots/have a beer/and discuss this with you if you are able to make it!

It's great if Harmony or any other entity has a party and I do not begrudge anyones right to do this, but I think the BGAFD party was special in that it was held first and foremost for the fans, not for the ultimate benefit of an organisation or individual.

To be honest I think little respect has ever been afforded to actual paying fans, they have been seen as a cash cow to be milked at every opportunity. To quote a famous porn magnate, "There's always another mug!" I think this is wrong, so the fact that they, the fans, had their own party, to which some of us performers and producers attended, is the right way round as far as I am concerned and it's a shame that it's not a regular event.

This is not to say others should not promote parties as well if they want, the more the better.

Anyway, will the organiser of the old BGAFD party please step forward, unmask yourself and take a bow!

No secret behind that Jim...It was Wendy Taylor that really got things moving in terms of those parties and the kind of girls she brought on board enjoyed meeting the fans.

Stiffoak: Its not really self defeating at all. Most of the girls who re-attend the parties do so because they like to socialise with their peers in the biz.

You say you provide income for other models away from the industry, if you are trying to make good on your investment by way of a website or sales that makes you a producer, therefore you are entitled to come to one of the meetings if you so wish.

Contrary to what you may read on here by some others who have near zero to do with the industry, we are always open to new producers coming on board. After all, we all started out the same way and were alienated by the staus quo ourselves but we recognise that producers all start from somewhere.

Unfortunately I wont be at the party tomorrow so enjoy. Its gonna be a good one.

Yes the party in Brixton at the club called Mass was held by Strictly. It is an old church - great venue, they have Torture Garden there sometimes too and various other events.

HHhhhmmmm perhaps I will speak to Jerry about another one next year? Watch this space!
