This isn't about being pretty or pleasing everyone. It's about accuracy. This is an industry forum not a fan forum.

A model rates resource is exactly the sort of thing UKAP can do which we cannot and would not want to do. We've no objection to your posting in order to bring UKAP to the attention of whoever you think might benefit from joining. What we object to is the way you've gone about it.

Why can't people use both forums as it best suits them? BGAFD is not an industry site in the sense that UKAP is and it has never occurred to us to try and present it as such. But we do have a forum which serves the industry and has served it pretty well over the past five years. And it's worth remembering, it was only created because so many people in the industry were using the British Girls Forum that it was causing problems. In the words of the great Kevin Costner, we didn't build it so people in the industry would come. They were already here.

See above.

Yes, the moderation of 'sex party' posts has been relaxed over the past month or so, for various reasons and this will be reviewed in the new year. We have no moral hang-ups about escorting, just a practical one. Allowing it as a topic would create a whole new set of moderating issues that we simply don't have the resources to deal with. More importantly, it's always been our policy to maintain these forums as a primary resource for UK porn and to exclude anything that might detract from that aim.

The BS dig, albeit a smiley-ed one, wasn't helpful and we withdraw it.

Posts / posters are edited or removed because they've breached the FAQ, not because we've thrown a hissy-fit - and you know that. Apart from this 'fan forum' stuff you've been one of the most level-headed and constructive posters on these forums over the years and we're sorry this issue has arisen at all. You have robustly stated your opinion on many subjects over the years without any intervention from us, because you've never given us any cause to intervene (that we can recall). In the course of things, you've rubbed some people up the wrong way and they've done the same to you, but by-and-large you've avoided resorting to abuse or other FAQ busting antics and that is all we ask. If you make a point constructively you can say just about anything, assuming it isn't libellous or likely to provoke an unintentional breach of the FAQ.

Ok lads.

Youve been good to me and fair to say the least and obviously this is a sticking point about my approach which I'll admit Ive been a bit sharp with some people recently.

Since you put it the way you did I will bear your points in mind and amend my ways accordingly.

As I said I never thought for once that I was denigrating your forum as you said I was. We just saw things differently on that one.

I'm all for unity and working together and you are right, if it wasnt for your forum I woldnt have got the attention of most of the producers I was trying to reach out for.

After all we are but two cogs in the same big wheel and I'm sure we can work together.

Truce !surrender!

I've sat back and watched this thread with a sense of growing amusement as various rants have overwhelmed any sensible comments made and the whole thing has deteriorated into a tennis match between certain participants that has strayed miles from the original point.

Cards on the table - I am not, never have been nor ever will be, a producer. I am an amateur photographer who has no desire to shag any of the models I shoot, no matter what they've been paid.

What is interesting about this thread is the conceit that the "adult industry" is in some way a special case. People attempt to take the piss in any industry, especially those that provide services and getting on your high horse about it won't change a thing.

You ask a graphic designer, or a photographer, or anyone else in the creative industry just how many times they get a derisory offer for their services. How many times do prospective clients come along and ask for work for free or at a reduced price in return for "exposure", etc?

Whatever the industry, the market sets the rate. I'd dare bet that the opening up of eastern Europe in the 1990s and the commensurate increase in available adult models drove the hire prices down.

I agree that people who try to pay low rates are chancers, but they're not unique to the adult industry, and it is incumbent upon the models to decide what to charge, or whether to accept a fee offered. The fact that it may be difficult to determine the appropriate rate is irrelevant. Anyone who goes into business for themselves needs to do their sums carefully and research their market to understand what fees are competitive and what they can afford to be paid.

And they have a dungeon (allegedly)

Post by David Johnson »

Yup, not only are they real people but allegedly at BGAFD Towers they have a dungeon.

Where do you think Be-Seen-Here has been all this time?

PS. Don't worry, there is a real Father Christmas. Keep the faith.

Merry Xmas
