Kelly. I tend to type as I speak and I do say what I mean. Some people find this offensive, but it's only the way I speak (ask OEJ he has known me for years!) when I'm talking to people face to face.
If I think someone is a 'wanker' then I will say it to their face and not just hide behind a pseudonym and a keyboard.
The whole point I'm trying (without success it seems) to make is that some people on the forum shouldn't take advantage of new models and their naivety on the going rates for work.
Also, to not try and be deliberately personally insulting to the girl for refusing an offer. An example being one troll from this site told the girl that her body wasn't good enough for her to be considered a professional model and that the money he offered was all she would be likely to get looking the way she did!
Do you consider that a polite response? How would you feel about someone saying that to you when you first started?

An OFFER is just that, an offer. If you don't like it, just say, No and move on.


Thats fine but the point John was getting irate about was the people who were told no to their offer and got rude to the girl about it.

Two posters took offence to Johns comment with regard that and why I always see producers under attack for dare saying anything. This is a patter that has been going on for a while. i was attacked ofr commenting on a simialr situation ages ago.

It just seems obvious to me that there is friction between those who are perceived as professional/ amateur/ semi pro or fans.

I would like to think I did my part in healing that rift

Yes I can vouch for John. We've known and worked intensively with each other for years and locked horns on more than several occasions but once the testosterone has waned we are ok again.

JR, Once again I totally agree with all of that in a face to face situation where everything is out in the open.

You will always get the idiots in life who when knocked back, hit back with insults. As a person you have to rise above that.

If a model is upset by those sort of comments, is this really the industry for them?

I know of one of the top UK porn models who has just been told to lose weight for the US market. You and I would say, she looks great just as she is but everyone's opinions can be different.

An opinion by definition cannot be wrong.

It is not just this industry that suffers from idiots who want to make low offers and then throw insults.

My husband is a car dealer, He'll get an email offer well below market value, he'll turn it down and then to sender will say "it's a piece of shit and overpriced anyway"....

If someone makes you an offer in the first place, something must have sparked an interest.

This situation will NEVER improve all the time there are models on here touting for business who have links to AdultWork that advertise Bareback/Dogging and sod knows what else for ?150 and producers still ask for details and offer them work!!!

Terry, Johnny, I don't know you, but I know of you, and you are well respected producers, and still in the business (so you must be pretty good at your jobs), and know what your talking about, so it does sadden me that you get attacked for standing up for what's right. Even in ordinary circles, you wouldn't want to see anybody treated in the way you described, how hard is that to understand?
