Advice/Help needed.

I'm very new to this and would like some advise/help:
I have a few girls that I've done shoots with but up until now the material has been for personal use only.
What should I do if I want to publish some of the pics, on this site for example?
I realise the girl/s in question will need to agree first but how can I prove this is so afterwards?
Is the Adultwork site a good way of earning a bit of money from the pics/videos or is there something better?
Are there any studios in the Oxford or Reading areas that will do me a good deal to get me up and running?
Any advice will bw e greatfully received.

Model release with photo ID is the way to go and will definitely be needed for any US website.

If the girl did the work on the basis that it was personal not for publication, then you'd be in breach of your contract with her to publish.

I suggest you email the girls stating that you want to publish non commercially as part of your portfolio, and please will they email back their agreement. If you state that you will name check them then it's good publicity for them to, so most should agree, esp if they do published work at those levels anyway.

Perhaps also rebook the good ones and this time shoot for release, with ID's and Model Release etc.

Thanks for the advice from Paul.
I realise that I need to get a model release signed if the material is to go public. What if it's a first shoot with a model and the destiny of the material is not yet known.
Should I get a signed model release at that time, just in case I decide to use it commercially, or use some other form of contract?

Once you get the girls to agree in the form of models release, e-mail from their addy etc try AdultWork as its the best place for clips & pics.
Also try 'clips 4 sale' as they do same thing but just a bit more tricky to set up, whatever you do don't put it all up at once as you need to update AW daily even if its only 1 photo as it puts you to the top again when people are searching.

Thanks for that Kim, I did think about using AW to put some pics and clips up but need to find out how it works. I know they charge a percentage when you withdraw funds but not sure if there is a "rental" cost on top of that.

AW take 30% which is the best anywhere across the board as no other site comes close, if you use E-Passporte they charge a few percent but only transfer large amounts e.g over ?150 at a time.
You can also have your money paid straight into any bank account,
the set-up is easy on AW & transferring money into an account takes about 2 weeks.

i don't wish to undermine this gents genuine attempt to do the right thing but i recall previous threads highlighting that a model release isnt worth the paper its written on as the tog automatically holds the rights to the images regardless or something along those lines. and in any event seeking legal satisfaction in the event of any breach is futile.

You are right model releases are not worth much & yes the photographer /videographer holds the rights if they shot the material, if its something you wish to carry on though you use model releases.
