Matt P,
There is an option called "Anonymous Call Reject".
With landlines it's a network option but for mobile networks I'm not sure if it's a network or handset option.
Apparently how it works is (providing you have it set), is when someone calls you and they have their number witheld the network announces to them something along the lines of "The number you are calling does not accept calls from witheld numbers. Please redial without witholding your number".
Could be worth you checking it out?

Re: Witheld numbers
Thats a fair comment Melody
How are you doing anyway? I hope you had a good christmas, I have been away with work for a bit so I have been out of the loop!
Matt P, maybe you could get a cheap pay as you go mobile just for the business side of things? That way it wouldn't matter who called you?
Just a thought.

Re: Witheld numbers
Or you could get another phone for business purposes which is only given out after email correspondance. That way you know whenever it rings its a (or should be) a legitimate business call.
I have a contract mobile for personal use and a payg mobile for business. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Its also useful for not being caught in an awkward situation. Eg, if the inlaws are round or something when someone phones about a shoot.

Re: Witheld numbers
BNMedia is right as we have 2 phones for business & personal use, always answer all calls even if they are witheld as it could be the call that changes everything.
Yes there are lots of timewasters out there but there are also lots of genuine ones as well.

Re: Witheld numbers
Well I've picked up some useful advice from something that was supposed to be a quick note, thanks.
The seperate phone idea sounds workable as does withheld number bar however I'd still be reluctant to take a booking from anyone not open enough to use a number I could get back in contact with them on.
It comes down to a case of losing out or getting caught out & I'd prefer the former.
Thanks again for the helpful advice all of you who comented but like I said it was just a quick note as I was getting loads of calls from a with-held on the day I posted it. Everyone I know outside of porn knows I don't answer witheld numbers, she's been stalking me long before I started getting my bits out on camera.

Re: Witheld numbers
Simple answer is I don't who it is calling but given the hell she's put me through it's easier to have a blanket rule to save me the stress of answering a call to her. I even go as far as not going to certain places in case she is there, this is a person who managed to convince friends to tell her where I worked once so she could apply to work at the same place.
I didn't want this to be a debate, I just hope that people respect that I don't answer with held nos. & for a valid reason.

Re: Witheld numbers
Well even if the call is withheld, your mobile operator can still see who's calling as long as you call them after the mystery call and it's still the last number that rang you.
You can ask them to make a log of the caller, they won't tell you who it is but the police can request this information through the police liason office.
That's in regards to your stalker, but you'd still need to answer the calls to find out if it's her or business.

Re: Witheld numbers
Good points but this is my choice, all it takes is for someone to drop me an email & say I tried contacting you instead of getting me worked up just before I had to do a scene, I don't even know if it was 1 person or several trying to call.
If for whatever reason your number is witheld it won't get answered but I reply to all emails.
If anyone has any further views on this you're welcome to email me as this is already an unecessairly long thread considering it was just supposed to be a quick note
