What's the determining factor that distinguishes a serious producer from an "idiot"?

Websites can obviously "flatter to deceive" and many are prepared to operate in the industry at a loss - and "interact with porn girls" - simply because they are 'cash rich' and they can afford to do so (as a hobby).

How many posting under this thread can honestly say they run a PROFITABLE business?

Well I suspect a few won't be surprised that I add my coment to this.
I like the idea of tackling the bad element instead of just ignoring it. To use my same tired mantra, I want to make good porn with good people. I'm not in it just for money or sex but because I loved it, I mean sharing a smoke or drinking a cuppa with someone that is an idol of mine means more to me & finding out that the best in the business are just awesomely cool down to earth people. It's a shame that there are bad elements out there that are determined not to let people be happy & enjoy it.
I get myself in trouble getting pissy so probably best leave it to someone less passionate & with a more realistic, less elevated view of porn.

Paying what you agreed before the shoot and actually sticking to the shoot you've booked is another way of distinguishing a producer from an idiot

I dont think people realise the knock on effects when girls get messed around by people who do it as a hobby.

The knock on effect is that they dont take the business of making videos seriously and assme its all about having a shag so if she doesnt feel like it, why bother tell them you wont turn up.

They will know soon enough and all she has to do is say sorry, flutter her eye lids and book for another day.

This may work for me but Im sure it wouldnt for people who hire studios, personnel and custom fitted costumes that cost money on a day if someone lets them down.

Yes those girls want pro model money for being amateur in their approach.

Ive always maintained that if I wasnt making money from this business then i sure as hell wouldnt be in it to just shag girls.

Whatever happened to meeting and chatting up girls? Half the fun was always in the chase though Im aware there are many who see porn stars as more hardcore and cheaper alternatives to real escorts.

I'd like to remind you that I dont partake simply because it gets in the way of actual making a video properly on the day and furthermore I am not in this business to get laid and nor did I ever expect to be.

I could drop names in my early days that thought it was weird I didnt take advantage of the situation.

Thats not to say i didnt have fun though.

I also know plenty of people who dont expect extras after the shoot who wouldnt be in this if they didnt make enough money out of it...Probably expkains why some have simply quit because they dont feel there is any money in the game anymore.

For others, they may not be making millions but they might be doing better than they would if they had a regular full time job.

Seems the only ones doing it at a loss are the ones with enough money to do soas you said or those who are skint and found a way to recoup some of their money via adult work and clips 4 sale.

This is an observation on the reality of this and not a criticism.As far as Im concerend, it should spell more money for the girls innte bsuiness but it doesnt seem to be that way with some individuals preffering to rip girls off or worse still try and avoid paying altogether.
