Fine - you seem to know what she looks like and who she is but not everyone does and since we do PICTURES and VIDEO for a living it shouldn't be a surprise that people actually want to know what models look like before booking them!

She gave other details like her location and availability of a place to shoot...
Are we really saying that these things are more important than what a model looks like?

Again and again I say that since so many producer shoot for themed sites we need to know whether a girl is Black, White, busty, plump, skinny, raven-haired, old, young, etc...

It's pretty basic guys!
Put it this way - I won't book a model who knows so little about this business and cares so little about my needs from the shoot that she cares more about telling me where she lives and where we can shoot!

"Hey, I have a flat to shoot in and I'm in Scunthorpe... and who cares what I look like because I'm available!"
Are we really saying that this is how UK porn is made? No wonder some of us are having it hard!

From your post it's sounds like you are having a bad day.

For what it is worth i feel you are being a little hard on SJ who has had numerous photos posted on this site, including only today those from Gaslight ( Which are excellent) and a couple at the party from Myson.

I am the first to apologize if you have missed them, in fact I notice quite a few well known names crop up looking for work, but sometimes i have no idea what they look like as well. Unfortunately I don't always like to ask.

Anyway for what it is worth i have always found SJ to be a excellent hard working model who is only too happy to travel around on the train to shoots. In fact I have bumped into her a couple of times on railway stations while she has been racing off to shoots.

What I do agree with you on, Is that the models should give their location and availability of somewhere to shoot from in their posts. It would also save wasted emails in both directions
In my case there would be no point in emailing anyone, if they live way up North (Above Leeds) or way down in the West Country below Birmingham. Also if you are able to reach them by train would be useful.

Hi Nikonman.
Firstly, I hear nothing but praise from models who have worked with you so I'll start off from the viewpoint that you know what you're doing and that your voice is worth hearing.
I completely agree that this model looks well worth a booking and have to admit that when I saw the photos I thought she looked fabulous...

...but then that's my whole point.

I work with girls SOLELY on their appearance. They may be fat, thin, tall, short etc. Beauty is in the eye... blah, blah, blah and I look for particular people for particular niches in order to make SALES through affiliates who work entirely in those niches and won't touch anyone outside of that niche.

SJ is someone who I might have worked with at some time except for the fact that she's a bit far from me - but I have a place to stay anytime I need just outside London so who knows? But to ask for a next-day shoot (this is the important bit!!!) gives no time to swap emails if both people are not sitting at the computer right at that moment. So how can people arrange travel, studios etc if it's going to take the rest of the day just to find out what the girl looks like.

Again and again I repeat what so many other photographers say:
"We just will not play hunt-the-model!"
FFS. I'm not even booking the girl and yet I find myself having to defend the right to see what I'm being asked to work with!

Seen any websites recently with NO PHOTOS on the main page?
Me neither! That would just be stupid wouldn't it.

Anyway - "Gasp" - yes, Demi has upped her levels for her own site and this is for three very good reasons:
1. It really is HER SITE and not some cutthroat name-stealing job done in order to make a quick buck off the back of a girl without the basic decency of asking her if it might be okay first. Yep, once the release has been signed a girl has little or no comeback but it's common-sense to be open about it because the model WILL find out and then she may just stop working with the people and then the site will run dry... basically people thinking with their wallets first. (more on this at the end!)
2. Demi will continue to up her levels because I actually don't ask her to, don't push her to and even slowed her down at one point. This is called relationship-building and a necessary part of a partnership - which is most definitely what this is.
3. Me and my webmaster partner have put a hell of a lot into this site (and others) and will continue to do so - with absolutely no financial input from the models. We look after them and make absolutely no attempt to sign them to exclusive contracts or any other pointless or underhanded shite.
As a result all our models have - entirely without prompting - offered to up their levels for their sites.

The bottom-line is that it takes longer and costs a little more to be straight with people and deal with them right, but making a living is (imho) about success first and not just about your wallet (this is the bit I was talking about earlier).
Wallet = screw people for a quick buck today.
Success = build something strong for tomorrow.

Here endeth the lesson - and I can sincerely assure you (Nikonman) that it was in NO WAY aimed at you.
Again, you have a rep to be proud of as far as I can see.

Hello sorry Ugly daz

because i get booking even were i was stopping at which did not happen only went to london for the day last min shoot , I never really know one place were i will be at right away depends of the bookings so i can work around them and places to shoot people i know, I email people and i do get right back to them and i do travel every were not just one place, I can,t post photos on here because i can,t do it you only have to look for my name and here and see what i look like.
