Monumental!!

Post by Holly D »

Last summer I went to Paris to shoot with Burning Angel and shot a tonne of photos and videos with them. Todays update on is one of those photo sets from Paris. This one is on a war monument we found just outside of Paris. It was a cool shoot and I got pretty turned on knowing that a tour bus of tourists could turn up at any minute and see me naked and fingering my tight pussy on the monument!

A war monument?

As an ex-serviceman I find that offensive.

Is this what it has come to, using the dead of wars to 'get turned on'??

I know I'm going to get shot down in flames, but frankly I don't give a fuck, this is taking it too far.

Guys, I am so glad you had the courage to voice your opinions on this. I was going to write something last night, but thought I should sleep on it and see how I felt this morning. I was actually quite shocked and incensed by these pictures. Waking up, I feel exactly the same.

Holly, I think you're a colourful individual and you've done some great things, but on this occasion the line has been well and truly breached. Do you have any idea what this monument was built to honour? Let me tell you: the results (and the number of casualties involved on both sides) are horrific.

Did you think that a French monument was ok because it was in France, or do you really not care and would quite happily do it up against the Cenotaph here in Whitehall, too? And what would relatives of those fallen think? Do you have that little respect for the dead?

I'm sexually and socially broad-minded - one has to be really, in this industry - but this has both shocked and incensed me. What was Holly and/or the photographer thinking? Or was there a complete absence of thought? I'm lost for words - or is this apparent lack of respect simply part and parcel of the industry nowadays? Where are the lines drawn in terms of what's acceptable or not?

From a practical point of view, this is a potential PR nightmare. There's the old maxim - "you choose the behaviour, you choose the consequences". Are you prepared for the furore if the mainstream media and veterans organisations get wind of this, maybe even a government or two?

The sooner these images are taken down the better, for all concerned.
What a horrible way to start the weekend, with these thoughts on my mind...

Firstly, notice the watermarks on the images and you'll see that its not for my own site. I didnt think up the theme or location etc for the shoot, as a modelled I just... well modelled.

Secondly, I think maybe you are possibly being alittle over sensitive. My partner isnt just an ex-serviceman but also a gulf veteran and he can see the lighter side and think ALL of his former naval bauddies would too.

and also whats your opinion on the girls (and guys) who wear military uniforms in thier scenes, that could be seen as disrespect also?
And I have seen alot of porn shot in graveyards and the like, usually with the girls actually on the tombs, do you also find that offensive?

exhibitionism to necrophilia? that's quite a leap you've made there.

seriously, holly, don't get drawn into this. some people have views that are just too absurd to reason with. they miss the point entirely and rage against some notion of decency that only existed in their minds in the first place.

exactly/ you'll notice the people who are offended claim to be offended on behalf of the dead. the very people who can't offer their own opinion so these people take it upon themselves to put their own opinion in to mouths of the dead, so to speak.
