After 20+ years taking thousands of photos of hundreds of gorgeous girls, I now want to digitise my archive collection.
What scanners do people use? Nikon no longer sell scanners and neither does Canon. You'd have thought that every professional photographer would be wanting to scan their collections, so why the absence of 35 mm scanners, I wonder! Obviously a bulk feeder is required. Any suggestions as to what scanner and who sells them?
Alternatively maybe people use bureaux to scan their stuff. Does anyone know of a bureau that will quote a sensible price per thousand 35 mm slides?
Or, perhaps someone here would like to scan my slides for me and we could do a deal on their use! Tens of thousands, mostly in the very big boob and black girl categories, mainly shot from 1980 to 2003.
Thanks
Peter

Re: Slide Scanners / Slide Scanning
Epson have flatbeds that will do the job average 6 per pass 35mm and 4 6x6 and many of the upper range are bundled with Digital ICE repro software.
Bulk machines, Minolta had one with a slide loader but the problem you have it works if "Every" slide is the same i.e. no changes in the depth of the images.
Scanning and getting the images right is very time consuming especially if you re touch them but is worth the effort.
Epson scanned.
These examples where shot from the 1960's to the 1990's on various cameras, click the thumb to egt to the larger images.

Re: Slide Scanners / Slide Scanning
I used a nikon 4000 and a bulk feeder to transfer all my stuff to digital, but as you say, no longer available.
I did try offering a slide scanning service, but the cost was too prohibitive for most who expressed an interest, as is standard now, no-one wants to pay for anything!
Looks like you'l have to keep searching ebay for a nikon 4000 and an SF200 feeder to get it done yourself.

Sorry, wrong end of the stick! I already own a coolscan 4000 and bulk feeder (between 40-60 a time depending on mount)
I've already scanned my transparency inventory, (about 400,000) so I'm all set.
I did offer for a while to scan for other people, but as you well know, no-one wants to pay for anything these days!

Yep, correct because apart from the fact that you then have your old trannies scanned and on your comp it simply isn't worth the expense !
