Not sure if you are male or female or how old, but anyway here goes lol.
Think seriously as to why you want to do it, also remember that for published work it is going to be around for many years and could prevent you from a furture career in other areas esp if you want to work with kids etc. Just because you decide you may no longer want to do it, the vids n pics are still going to be there.
You will need an up to date health cert, most of us are tested every 21 days, depending on where you live depends on wether the clinics do tests for free or charge. Ideally you need to allow 10 days from day of test for the cert n results to be ready.
Get yourself a profile set up, with pics, can highly recommend AIR (adult industry resources) which is run by Paul Jones (porn actor & webmaster)
Be prepared to travel, so if you don't drive look up train stations etc in plenty of time so you can plan how long a journey will take and how much it will cost.
Always ask a tog for references, if not sure put a posting on here and one of us may be able to help.
There are times when the industry is very quiet so don't think you are always going to earn money every month etc.
Be prepared to promote yourself and put in the hard work, no one will do this for you.
It's a great industry and I love the work I do, but i'm 42 and fully aware of the industry good n bad.

Ideally you need to read pauls advice on air. You are going to need to find someone who will film and take photographs of you in action, this may or may not cost you money. Then you can set up a profile so producers n models can see it.
So many guys want to be a porn stud, but a lot of the already working studs will prob tell you it is more competitive and harder than you think. Every producer works differently, you have to do a mixture of soft core n hard core, some do a few pics first, some do filming, there is a lot of stop start and you need to keep hard, and quite often cum with a couple mins notice, quite often being able to cum again a short time later.
So see if you can find someone local to where you are to do you a showreel. If your serious you will be happy to pay for a showreel to be put together. Put a post on the forum asking for someone to do you a showreel and say your happy to pay up to x amount or ask them to email you with a price for showreel. If needed offer to pay for a studio as well.
This is all I can suggest, if you were older I may of offered to help out, but I don't work with anyone under 25 as I have 3 kids, 2 of whom are older than you lol, so for me it would not feel right.
