FTP Recommendations

Hi all...

I currently use FileZilla FTP to upload material to my Clips 4 Sale stores, and find it VERY slow. Is it possible I need to change some settings on Filezilla FTP... or are there any other FTP programmes that you can recommend (preferably free to download)?

I'd really appreciate some advice as FZ's driving me mad at the moment... thanks...

Filezilla is the best in my opinion. I upload to clips4sale fine with it.
I've never changed any settings.
Are you sure it's not just your connection?

Thanks for your reply... as far as I'm aware I don't have any connection problems. As a matter of interest... how long does it take you to upload a 5-minute clip?

What's the average file size of your 5 minute clip?

That would take me around 20 minutes.

That's about the same amount of time mine is taking... for some reason I seem to remember using Cute FTP and it was much quicker... maybe it's my ailing memory! Thanks for your advice... cheers...

No probs. I do have poor upload speeds compared to most I know, so it's possible you were getting faster uploads before.

I have an Apple Mac and currently use Cyberduck.

My major problem was uploading to adultwork, i had to go through around 7-8 different ftp programs before i found one which worked.

If you do have an apple mac they come with an inbuilt ftp host as standard, press command K

Thanks to both of you for your advice and sharing your experience... I'm still not happy with the (slow) upload speed... so I might have to play around with the settings on FZ and see if that makes any difference... unfortunately, I don't have an Apple Mac... cheers anyway...!
