Hi,
So I have come across Studio 88 who are apparently looking for amateur male performers for their adult films. Has anybody been in touch with them? Are they legit? I have been to their studio and had a photo shoot for which I had to pay and they said I would start making movies in no time. So far nothing's happened and although they appear to be for real I am very suspicious as so far I invested money and so far there's been no action apart from the photo shoot that took place a while back.
I know there would be too many people involved if this was a scam to just get pose naked and get them pay for it but since there are so many fake job offers and people on the internet who tell you all you want to hear just to get you to pay them especially if you are a man an they offer you sex.
I have found no complaints and I think they would have got caught by now if they were just lying to people. But maybe it's just my wishful thinking. Has anybody applied for their job or is anybody currently performing for them and can tell me something more? Thanks

I nearly fell for it as well, as soon as they ask for money it is a scam, there are plenty of people in the industry to give you a go you have to do your homework, there are some really cool people on here such as Charlie from Purecfnm who would give you a go if you are brave enough, I think studio888 is a scam mate......................the saying goes, if it is too good to be true ....

But don't models have to pay for their photo shoots anyway? Not only in the porn industry but in general?
And they use real names as well - I found couple of them on facebook and they seem to live normal lives(I didn't add them btw).
They sent me contracts and letters which I read carefully. I don't know they seem to be leaving too many tracks behind (names, addresses, phone numbers - I have been to the studio for the interview and photo shoot).
They share the place with other business - a Laundrette only they are downstairs so would they really have chosen such a place for their illegal stuff and scamming people? And how did they know they would be successful at it? After all not everybody wants to do porn but they still had to rent a place in central London, pay the bills, buy the equipment etc. I have no idea anymore and I am just trying to find some confirmation.
And what do you mean you nearly fell for it? Does it mean you contacted them and went for the interview? How was it? They didn't ask me for money straight away but after the interview when I confirmed my interest in the job. The only money they asked me for was to pay for the photo shoot and nothing else. I took the risk and now I wonder if they are legit and if I should take action.

My best advice is to chase them up, there are other ways into porn than paying your way in esp a photoshoot, best to call and see what is going on
