Thanks.George did a hell of a lot of good "Cheescake" stuff.Broke down the barriers really. It`s his stuff for Charley Brown that needs airing Lot of soft B/G stuff with Sue Bond (Benny Hill show...any pics?),and loads of H/C with Ava Cadell (Bistro Bordello..bet you never heard of that!),Nicky Stanton,Clyda,Monique..etc.Mostly shot in a little studio in Farringdon.Hard to believe.

Not sure of your point Joe,but Ava was in Bistro Bordello,shot in a studio in Faulkners Alley in Cowcross St(Go find it), as well as Jolly Hockey Sticks.Nice girl.Met her and performed with on several occassions.GHM had a good life,first as music hall performer,then as a photographer to other "stars",Norman Wisdom,Benny Hill etc. Introduced a lot of beautiful women to a needy audience through his Kamera publications. Started his Maximus 8mm business with his then wife Joe,and shot a lot of good S/C, H/C stuff in his flat in St Johns Wood. Went on to to do "features",but was ripped off by a certain E. London publisher. George drank too much,but he knew how to photogragh women.Respect.

the jolly hockey sticks rumour was, I think, started by David Sullivan's scandal sheet 'Private National News' in 1976 (as written on page 214 of Simon Sheridan's 'Keeping the british end up'). The paper might be wrong - she denies being in the film.

Sometime in mid 1986 I went up to GHM's house in North London (Wellington Street?) ostensibly to pick up a few videos (way before online ordering!). Must have been 2-3.00 pm. He was seriously shit-faced, throwing back neat scotches, and yet he was pounding away on his old manual typewriter (this in his delightfully untidy conservatory). I'd never met him before, but he spent an hour regaling me with stories of his unbelievable life. I also met his assistant/receptionist/whatever(?) "Just Jennie", an incredibly sultry woman. (She starred in two of his Kane videos, I think, the better one being The Caning Club. Did she do any h/c, does anyone know? Do anything to find out!). GHM had her autograph a couple of pictures for me. Still have them 17 years later! As I left the house, another Kane model of the time, Sue Ellis, was coming in. (That's another girl who I'd like to know did any h/c. She did do some g/g relatively strong layouts in either Private or Pleasure late '80's. Now that would be a treausre, Just Jennie and Sue Ellis h/c g/g!! ) Anyway, back to the point. GHM was unique, truly special.

`Fraid not.It was done in S/c and H/c version in that studio in Farringdon.The soft version was in B/W under the Maximus lable. The H/c, in colour, was put out under Colour Climax branding in Europe. Remember seeing the British version,many years ago,but I guess no copies survived. That was the business model then.Soft core in B/W,for the British market,colour for ..er Colour Climax.

HM discovered Clyda and then you made a film with her - some people have all the luck! I cant even get the films I want. Can I ask when was Dolly Mixture made and what was the 'plot'? I posted a reply to your Clyda discussion, but any info you have about her would be good. Can you clear up the various versions of where she is from - so far I have heard Mediterranean/Geordie/German. I also read that she had a breast reduction cos of back trouble, which might explain why her career is rather erratic (at least it seems that way).
