O/T Dvd only playsback in B&W

Hi all, I just bought Johnny Rebel's Amatuer House Party 1 & 2 DVD (PAL) and it only plays back in black & white. Would any one know if I can change my settings on my player or should I take it back to the shop.

This DVD is it an NTSC (american DVD) ??

If it is you will need to check that your tv supports NTSC playback

If it doesn`t the fault lies with your TV and not the DVD or DVD player

Also check your Scart cable - the signal is split into luminance (black and white) and chromiance (colour). If the Chromiance pin is no good - there's your problem.

Indeed I did. It was nice to be able to help. And it was the only time I actually managed to get you to stop talking and listen for 3.8 seconds. So I felt double the sense of achievement

Go into the set up menu on the dvd player and set the ntsc playback to auto.Unless the dvd player is a steam powered old machine it should be fine
