They work but you can't copy them because the signal produced is not true NTSC to PAL conversion, but has a different frame rate to normal PAL. The recording deck can't handle the difference. Specialist decks are available but they're much more expensive than your high street model. Playback is fine though.

I have a converter if anyone needs tapes copying into PAL or NTSC.

I order nstc from Score(cheaper than pal) and they play on my dual video.
You do have to alter the contrast/brightness though.(not a prob)
As for customs i've ordered approx 6/8 and never been stopped.Only order 1 at a time.
One good thing is they are fast, some arrive in 4/5 days.

I've also had NTSC tapes from the US and never had any problems on Multistandard setups. I've also ordered both PAL and NTSC from Score (in multiples of more than 1 tape) again without problems - including not having to alter the contrast/brightness which sounds more like a TV problem than a VCR one to me. I only order NTSC from Score now as the quality is the same (excellent) but the reduced cost goes some way towards covering their high shipping charges.
