Legality of online movies

Can anyone help me with defining the legality of online movies?

Does publishing in the UK and receiving payment in the UK constitute a breach of UK law? There seem to be a growing number of UK based sites publishing (broadcasting?) movie clips from within the UK - has anyone heard of any prosecutions for this?

Even if a site was hosted overseas, in a territory where this is legal, would maintaining the site from the UK constitute a breach of UK law?

TIA for any useful info or opinions.

Can any of the pros on here can point me in the direction of a UK law firm with some experience in this area?

Hi tony. If you post a message on usenet group uk.legal you'll get some more accurate answers on the exact laws. Generally though, if you host your hardcore on servers in countries where it is legal, and don't dabble in any 'sick shit' you won't run into any probs.
