Further to my previous post, I registered on Sunday evening. Still no sign of a password. Still unable to post using my normal details.

I fear that my query is being buried in the mass of queries in this thread. I registered late on Sunday afternoon as Flett & Katie. I now have to post as Black Fingernail because I can't log in under Flett & Katie. Still no sign of a password. What now?

none that i can think of, unless you have privacy concerns.
by that i mean, when you're logged in, the 'My Profile link' is active and therefore visible on every forum page. so, in a worst case scenario, you're unwitting partner could starting typing in the address of another site that begins with 'b', get the bgafd url popping up via the browser's autocomplete facility, thus leading your ever curious other half to pay a visit, whereupon they enter the forum and see the aforementioned 'My Profile' link, uncovering your sordid secret!
even this unlikely turn of events can be obviated by simply purging the browser cache before retiring every night (every morning, in your case!). go to Tools/Internet Options/Clear History - this will leave the login cookie intact but purge the url autocomplete cache. it's unlikely but possible.
basically, as a regular poster without any cause for paranoia, you may as well stay logged and spare yourself the hassle of having to do so again each time .

well, there were bound to be a few teething problems. 
check your mail - i've emailed you a password. bear in mind that the problem could be a slow email server at your end, which would mean you could still be in for a bit of a wait
