if i decide to sell one or two of my own collection to the ordinary man in the street am i breaking the law. Could he be a police and arrest me? whats the score lads?

Evening All!
Under the Obscene Publications Act 1959 it is an offence to publish an obscene article, whether for gain or not.
By selling or lending a video, you are 'publishing' it.
Section 24(2) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 declares that publication FOR GAIN is an Arrestable Offence, for which, obviously you can be arrested!
Publication with NO GAIN is STILL an offence for which your are Reported for summons to appear at Magistrates' Court.
All very silly, isn't it! Becareful out there!
