The problem is that while there are so many legal obstacles to producing/selling porn in this country there is little incentive for competent straight businessmen to get involved. There are several players who are one or the other, but few who are both.
Instead, you have people like Marino and Mc, who have both admitted, with commendable candour, that they are in it largely for fun; and when you mix business with pleasure, pleasure usually wins.
Given the problems, it is actually very hard to make a good product in this country, and then market it successfully. One of the biggest hurdles is that, unlike "legal" businesses, you can't just go to the bank and borrow money. That is why British films are usually under-funded. In Germany, some porn companies are actually public companies, listed on the stock market!
So, hats off to our lads, who have perforce to be jacks of all trades, when all they really want to do is just get paid for having a good time.
